2003 Notre Dame Fighting Irish Game Used Wilson AFCA 1001
This is an Authentic Notre Dame Fighting Irish Game Used Wilson AFCA 1001 Football that was used (and retired) during the 2003 season. I was lucky enough to purchase this ball from the grandson of a long-time faculty member at Notre Dame that initially received this game ball in 2003. When I received the ball it wasn't holding much air so I replaced the bladder with a brand new Wilson bladder from the factory in Ada, OH. I used the original latigo under-lace and new tacky pebble outer-lace. This ball should be good to go for many years to come. The manufacturing stamp on the ball is "EU" which translates to June 2002 so there's a good chance this ball was used during both the 2002 & 2003 football seasons.
This ball comes with actual game markings on the white stripe and shows phenomenal game wear. The golden "ND" logo is still very well-intact and is bordered by a black clover; one of the best Notre Dame logo's of all time. I've included pictures from the 2003 season to confirm that this style ball was used during that time period. For any Brady Quinn fan's out there, 2003 was his Rookie Season so there's a very good chance the young rookie used this game ball. For any Notre Dame game-used
